420 Smoke & Stretch: Back Pain (part 2 of 4)

A stretch that supports back pain that you can do in 4:20 minutes or less!

Back pain can be so debilitating! We want to do our due diligence to keep our spines strong with good posture and mobile to keep them healthy and happy. Here are a few stretches to encourage wide range of motion and elongated.

YOGA POSE: HEAD TO KNEE FORWARD FOLD - JANU SIRSASANA

  • Props: blanket under butt and strap for those with tight hammies; blanket or block can be placed on outer thigh if support is needed. 
  • Main points in posture:
    • Keep your spine long! Extended leg knee can be slightly bent if needed.
    • Kepe chest open. Instead of forcing yourself to reach your toes, think length through the spine and fold from your hip.
  • Stretches the back muscles and relieves tightness in the lower back.
  • Calms the mind and alleviates fatigue.
